Ah, yes … the oft-told story of childhood friends (so-to-say) coming of age where one or both awaken to an interest in “this and that”. An IN-teresting point is that Akito revealed that he’s not a virgin (even if that other relationship has long been closed). Chances are some would reject this story as being “vanilla” if the roles were reversed, i.e. if Natsuki was no longer a virgin and Akito was. Not my place to tell others what to think, but I say for myself that a vanilla-flavored H-story has absolutely nothing to do with virginity, especially that of the girl or woman. Whoever wants to believe otherwise, go for it.
