Release: “Linaria” by Hiroya

Akito and Natsuki, two friends since childhood, are spending time together playing games as they typically do. Natsuki is in a bad mood because she has been trying to seduce Akito, but he’s either oblivious or playing dumb.

A note on the title: ‘Linaria bipartita’, a kind of plant, apparently has the symbolic meaning of “please notice my love/feelings for you”.

  1. Ah, yes … the oft-told story of childhood friends (so-to-say) coming of age where one or both awaken to an interest in “this and that”. An IN-teresting point is that Akito revealed that he’s not a virgin (even if that other relationship has long been closed). Chances are some would reject this story as being “vanilla” if the roles were reversed, i.e. if Natsuki was no longer a virgin and Akito was. Not my place to tell others what to think, but I say for myself that a vanilla-flavored H-story has absolutely nothing to do with virginity, especially that of the girl or woman. Whoever wants to believe otherwise, go for it.

    As for me, ….. APPROVED!

    • It’s funny because I did consider the double standard while I was translating the story, but well, it is what it is. For the record, had the roles been reversed, it would not be something I would work on under the Team Koinaka banner.
